We are so proud of this revision. We've incorporated some challenging new dictations in Cardiology, Gastrointestinal, and Orthopedics, we combined new dictations in General Surgery with GI, and we added two new specialties: Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Urology and Nephrology. We had some really terrific dictations in a variety of specialties but not enough to constitute a separate specialty division, so we included these in a bonus section. This material can be used as instructors see fit: as a final exam for their entire program, as part of a virtual practicum, or just as assigned practice. The bonus dictations and transcripts are accessed with a separate password to give teachers more flexibility in how to use them.

New dictation isn't the only thing that makes this new AMT2 so excellent. Soundalikes exercises are included and can be incorporated into an online learning platform or accessed on the CD by the students. There are "listen only" dictations that students can use to familiarize themselves with a particular voice or report type before transcribing some of the more challenging reports. We updated the previous articles and added new ones, some are accompanied by exercises. The transcription guidelines and vocabulary lists are accessible both in the Getting Started section, where they can be printed, as well as via a drop-down menu when students are transcribing in the word processor.

Among a collection of stellar products, we think this is our best SUM Program unit yet!
